Councillor Monica Whyte is the Liberal Democrats’ candidate for the London Assembly seat of Enfield & Haringey.

Monica is campaigning to protect Chase Farm Hospital from closure, and to get the improvements it needs. She will be a strong Lib Dem voice that will fight for services to be retained within our communities after successive Labour and Conservative politicians have closed local services.

The Liberal Democrats’ London-wide “top-up” list for the 2008 London Assembly election consists of Mike Tuffrey, Dee Doocey, Caroline Pidgeon, Jeremy Ambache, Geoff Pope, Ben Abbotts, Stephen Knight, Shas Sheehan, Duncan Borrowman, Monica Whyte and Merlene Emerson.

Sarah LudfordEuropean Parliament

Sarah Ludford is the Liberal Democrat Member of the European Parliament for the whole of London. She has been in the forefront of efforts to tackle organised crime and terrorism through European cross-border law enforcement.

Sarah has been the party’s lead member in the European Parliament on anti-racism, on rights for EU-resident legal immigrants, and on internment of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay. She is active in the Parliament’s ‘intergroups’ on anti-racism & diversity and gay & lesbian rights.
