London Assembly
Local councillor Stephen Knight is the Liberal Democrats’ candidate for the South West London Assembly seat that includes Hounslow. Labour came a distant third in the 2004 election - only Stephen Knight or the current Conservative Assembly Member can win here in May.

Councillor Munira Wilson is the Liberal Democrats’ parliamentary campaigner for Feltham & Heston. Educated at Cambridge Univeristy, Munira first got involved with her local Liberal Democrats following the war in Iraq and because of the party’s commitment to social justice.

The Liberal Democrats’ parliamentary spokesperson for Brentford & Isleworth is Brentford councillor Andrew Dakers.
Andrew is a tireless campaigner on both local and global issues. As Chair of Brentford Community Council, Andrew led a number of campaigns on high impact development proposals. As an active member of Brentford Action Recycling Group (BRAG), Andrew has contributed his promotional skills to raising awareness and understanding.

Recent campaigns include defending Watermans, which has been threatened by the Arts Council with the loss of its grant (sign the petition to Support Watermans 100%). Hounslow Liberal Democrats have also joined with local people and Liberal Democrats MPs to say no to Heathrow Airport expansion.
